BF Engineering Recycling Services Ltd have recently supplied Ecogen Recycling a new shredding system processing 8 tons per hour in order to offer an improved confidential shredding service to our customers. With the ever increasing challenge of keeping paper records and data secure, Ecogen required a new shredder to replace our much smaller twin shaft machine. The new shredder not only had to have a high throughput capacity but also needed to reduce paper records to sizes that met rigorous security standards. Having a homogenous fraction output was also important as it meant no two pieces of data can be reconstructed further adding to the security of the process.
"After meeting with Directors Alan & Chris to discuss our requirements, we were impressed with their knowledge of shredders and passion for quality engineering. A visit to the BF Engineering factory in Lampeter reinforced this view and we were impressed with the quality of the machines being produced. BF Engineering worked with us over a two year period to develop such a large machine specific to our application. During that time, we couldn’t fault their approachable & collaborative attitude to the design and build of the project."
"Absolutely. Having worked with numerous engineering firms over the years we have found BF to be helpful and accommodating. They take genuine pride in the machines they produce, and over engineer every component just to be safe. Whilst there were a few delays in the installation schedule owing to parts availability from Germany (thank you C 19), we were kept informed at every step by our project manager Chris. The machine was expertly installed and commissioned with electrical and mechanical engineers remaining on site until we were happy. The BF Engineers liaised with all the other contractors working on the project to make sure the machine was properly integrated into our plant. In summary, we are very happy with our new Wolfe 2000 Shredder and look forward to a long association with Team BF."
